ACTE announces the first Australasia Education Conference

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) will host the first-ever ACTE Australasia Education Conference, an education and networking event focused on advancing the industry by identifying new and innovative approaches to the procurement and management of business travel.  This much anticipated event will take place 5-6 December, 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney.

This day and a half long educational conference will bring together the region’s business travel community to review the past year, preview the year ahead and provide assistance to those striving to achieve a reliable, streamlined and cost effective travel program that is well matched to their organisation’s culture, requirements and legislative responsibilities.

“We are thrilled to be bringing an ACTE Education Conference to our Australasia region.  A steering committee of Australian and New Zealand business travel professionals representing buyers, suppliers, and TMC’s is currently creating an attractive and relevant educational programme,” said ACTE Executive Director Ron DiLeo.

Conference highlights include:

*  Thought-provoking Keynote Presenters who will share their insights and ideas about the direction of business travel

*  Education sessions focused on key business travel matters and how attendees can further assist their travellers and achieve their travel program objectives

*  Opportunities to connect with other procurement and travel management professionals who share similar challenges and can assist with appropriate solutions

*  Learnings that can be directly applied to the advancement of an organisation’s travel program

“Adaption and keeping abreast requires strategic thinking and assistance via education and peer to peer discussion,” said ACTE Australasia Regional Director Andrew Kelly.  “Fortunately, ACTE and our Educational Conferences provide an environment that helps everyone facing these challenges.”

Moreover, several networking events will be featured at the ACTE Australasia Education Conference.  In addition to networking breakfasts, luncheons and coffee breaks, Table Tops will provide attendees time to speak directly with industry suppliers, showcasing the most exciting business travel products and solutions.  The ACTE mobile application for the conference will not only offer full access to conference information, but also allow attendee-to-attendee messaging.
