Abu Dhabi Tourism celebrates Ramadan with new competition

The Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority is running a month-long consumer competition to mark the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The initiative has brought together the sector’s emirate-wide, local industry and will offer daily prizes worth a combined AED250,000 until July 28th 2014.

Twenty-six tourism stakeholders have weighed into the celebration, which is the third in the annual series, by providing flight tickets, hotel stay vouchers, dinners, spa treatments, gym memberships and attraction entries for the mega prize pool.

“Each day there’s a different prize.

“This year’s competition differs in that it is more culturally-focused, which we hope will trigger people to research answers,” explained Mouza Al Shamsi, acting executive director marketing and communications, TCA Abu Dhabi.

“The choice of questions is highly relevant as Ramadan is an integral part of our Islamic culture,” Al Shamsi concluded.

People can enter the competition, which is being run in Arabic and English, by logging on to the website.

Entrants will find a range of multiple choice questions and the winners will be randomly selected from the pool of correct answers and announced daily on the award-winning website.

Users will also be able to enter through their mobile phones.
