51 Buckingham Gate appoints new GM

51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences has appointed a new General Manager. Mr. Digvijay Singh will replace Mr. Prabhat Verma, who will take up a new position as Chief Operating Officer of Gateway Hotel Division of the Taj Group.

Commenting on his new position, Mr. Singh remarked, ‘I am delighted to join the Taj London team of accomplished hoteliers who have enhanced a unique brand through its guest centricity, in a city which has the most competitive and iconic hotels on the globe.’

Mr. Digvijay Singh has had a notable 18-year career with the Taj group.  He has been the General Manager of multi-award-winning The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, since April 2008 and, prior to this, was the General Manager of the iconic Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur.  He has also trained at some of the most renowned hotels worldwide, including Mandarin Oriental – Bangkok, The Peninsula – Hong Kong, Raffles – Singapore and Four Seasons – Hong Kong.

Mr. Singh is not only a dedicated General Manager, but also a devoted member of the Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai, India and is involved in the management development programmes with University of Michigan, Indian Institute of Management at Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Management at Bangalore.

A strong believer in creating and maintaining the highest standards of hotel business, the guest will always be Mr. Singh’s priority.  51 Buckingham Gate is thrilled that he brings his experience, dedication and enthusiasm to London this month.
