22 killed in Argentina plane crash

A turboprop plane that was carrying 22 people has crashed and exploded in Argentina’s southern Patagonia region, leaving no survivors.

The domestic Sol Lineas Aereas flight 5258, which was flying from Neuquen to Comodoro Rivadavia, was carrying 3 crew members and 19 passengers, including a baby, when it crashed into a remote house in Patagonia.

A spokesperson for the airline has revealed that the twin-engine Saab 340 took off normally and had no record of technical problems.The plane was built in the late 1980s, and the pilots were experienced.
