‘Ramadan at The Towers’ from Jumeirah in Abu Dhabi

Jumeirah at Etihad Towers has launched ‘Ramadan at the Towers’ for friends and families to celebrate the Holy Month in what is the business, social and gourmet hub of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Located on the shores of the Arabian Gulf, the five-star luxury city hotel offers a relaxed and bespoke urban lifestyle experience based on personalised care, craftsmanship and a passion for unique culinary experiences, especially at times like ‘The Holy Month’  as Phil Blizzard discovered on his tour of the Ramadan offerings across the region.

Speaking to Doris Greif, general manager, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, she told Breaking Travel News: “The Holy Month provides a wonderful opportunity for guests and visitors to experience our festive Iftar and Ramadan offerings filled with gastronomic flair and value that have made us an eagerly anticipated Ramadan tradition for many within the UAE’s capital.”

These include a sumptuous buffet Iftar at the Layali Al Barak venue with regional and traditional food, live cooking stations, seafood grills and Saj stations - a hot iron griddle shaped like an inverted wok and all against a backdrop of live Oud performances - music from an Arabic stringed instrument.

Greif also told Breaking Travel News: “Additionally, our award-winning restaurant Rosewater is offering guests an authentic Arabian Iftar with traditional flavours that includes freshly prepared oceanic fare and grills.”

This Ramadan will be the third for the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, which opened in November 2011 and I discovered that in line with the groups promise to ‘Stay Different’ the hotel has offered guests the opportunity to experience Ramadan beyond that offered by the luxury hotel.

One can avail of the ‘Ramadan at the Towers’ packages which enables quests to visit the spectacular Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for ‘Taraweeh’ prayers, along with other dedicated amenities and services.

Finally I asked Doris what Ramadan mean to her personally and her team of associates in the hotel, to which she replied: “The Holy Month is something that both I and the team all look very forward to.

“In the short three years of Jumeirah at Etihad Towers opening and offering Iftar it is truly a deeply moving and grateful position we find ourselves in, that so many residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi include us as part of their own private ‘Ramadan tradition’.

“To be included in such an intimate way is very special.

“We wish all a very blessed Ramadan Kareem.”
