One-Stop Travel Planning Website for Pet Owners Launches in time for Summer Travel

Pet Hotels of America, the first all-inclusive travel planning website for pet owners has launched in time for making summer vacation plans. Here, pet owners may reserve at more than 25,000 pet-friendly hotels in America, make airline reservations and car rentals, and get special deals on vacation packages.

The website is kicking off its launch with a free 3-sample pack of John Paul Pet travel wipes to those that book rooms before May 25, 2012.

Because of its special relationship with listed hotels, Pet Hotels of America is able to offer pet owners special rates, ongoing sales and often such added benefits as a free breakfast buffet, Starbuck’s card or other niceties.

“Travelers may book online at http://www.pethotelsofamerica.com or by telephone,” said Lisa Porter, CEO, Pet Hotels of America. “We also provide an online chat so people can get their questions answered quickly.”

For those leaving their pet behind or simply in need of temporary pet lodging or pet sitting while at their destination, Pet Hotels of America has listings with descriptions and maps for these as well.

“Most people traveling with pets want more than just a place to stay,” said Porter. “Pet owners want to know what to do once they reach their designation.”

For this reason, Pet Hotels of America created a city-by-city information page that lists pet lodging, on- and off-leash parks and beaches, pet shops and shopping centers that allow pets, groomers, veterinarians and other pet-friendly services. Additionally, the website serves as a calendar of pet events for any given city in the U.S. For instance, John Paul Pet is hosting its Charity Dog Wash and Pet Fashion Show in Costa Mesa which can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/K70g4R.

Pet Hotels of America also invites pet event and expo organizers, historical site operators, tour companies that allow pets and managers of other pet-friendly attractions to list their information for free. It will include links back to their website as well as information on the event or place and a map showing people how to get there. Comments are welcome.

“We want people to enjoy the freedom of traveling with their pets without having to visit multiple sites to find what they need,” said Porter. “Now pet-friendly hotels, car rental companies, airlines, pet services, attractions and places to visit local to each traveler’s destination may be found and, when applicable, reserved at one place.”

The website’s Paws & Claws Daily News blog keeps visitors abreast of things to do and places to see with pets.

“There is so many changes in pet travel and the goal of the blog is to provide useful information to pet travelers,” said Porter. “Here they will discover such information about hiking with pets in Griffith Park, Calif., if dogs are welcome at the Alamo, and fun things to do in Phoenix. We also feature trendy travel products, featured hotels and ways to become a guest on our Pets Internet broadcast Internet station.
