Travel broadcaster Phil Blizzard discovers Accor’s first luxury boutique hotel, located in the business district of the UAE capital.

Guests staying at this flagship property will be surprised by the oversized room with more facilities than traditionally expected, along with an Arabesque blend.  The contemporary design is complemented by a warm, traditional Arabic welcome - ‘qahwah’ which is coffee in Arabic and dates.

This new hotel features 198 rooms, a full-service Mediterranean and Arabic restaurant, a French cafe, swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, jacuzzi, business centre and the hotel provides high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the property.

This new upscale property, conveniently located on Zayed The 1st Street,  features many room types, with 90 studios and executive studios,  one-bedroom suites and executive one bedroom suites. There are also 36 two-bedroom suites and executive two bedroom suites. Each room category at the Majlis Grand Mercure Residence offers unlimited panoramic views of the city from each and every floor.

Dining options include Mezzahto, the rooftop restaurant, which offers a fusion of Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine, making your dining experience an exciting journey from the entrée to dessert. The restaurant also offers daily breakfast, lunch and dinner - with live cooking stations, and a wide choice of à la carte items being available throughout the day.

Elsewhere in the hotel casual lunch and dinner options are available in La Brioche - a cafe and patisserie, which delivers authentic French cuisine throughout the day.

The Majlis Grand Mercure Residence, located on Zayed The 1st Street,  aims to cater to both business and leisure quests with a fully-equipped WellFit gym. There is a distinct spa facility that includes a sauna, steam room, and a swimming pool with jacuzzi all located on the rooftop.

For the business traveller Accor’s latest opening also features five state-of-the-art meeting rooms fully equipped with audio visual equipment, as well as an executive club lounge.
