This year, Los Cabos will be represented at the most important forum in the vacation ownership industry in Latin America. ““LASOS – The Latin American Shared Ownership Summit”” will be held on October 26th and 27th at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Attendance of more than 80 organizations from more than 10 countries including Mexico, United States, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Peru is expected, along with prominent figures in the tourism industry, such as developers, investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, hotel chains and suppliers.

According to RCI, an expert in the vacation ownership and vacation real estate industries, this year LASOS will feature many important members of the Latin American tourism community, including Roberto Chapur Duarte and Roberto Chapur Zahoul from RCD Resorts; Alberto Coppel from Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts; Valentino Danchev from Grupo Vidanta; Jorge Herrera and Gonzalo Mosqueda from Unlimited Vacation Club AMResorts; and Rosario Rodriguez from Royal Holiday Group.

LASOS is organized by RCI under the official sponsorship of TORE (Tourism Oriented Real Estate Advisory and Consulting) and will feature more than 50 speakers of international stature, who will share their experience and knowledge. Various topics including trend analysis, creating new solutions, generating customer loyalty, creating experiences, overcoming the current economy, being innovative and resilient, developing effective marketing, and diversifying products and markets will be covered in order to educate attendees with the goal of supporting the continued growth of the vacation ownership industry, thus further strengthening the tourism sector in Latin America.

This year, the central theme of the event will be seeking to rebuild, rewrite and rethink the history of the tourism industry. Lectures, panel discussions and workshops will provide attendees with the knowledge to strengthen the growth of vacation ownership industry through innovation.

Keeping with tradition, prior to the commencement of LASOS, a forum will be held at Leisure Real Estate University, which through lectures, panel discussions and technical visits to the main tourist developments in Punta Cana will provide the opportunity to learn about business models and strategies that have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the tourism industry in Latin America.

Some of the keynote speakers for this important event are: Alberto Jones, president and CEO of Moody’s Mexico, who is currently responsible for the northern region of Latin America; Miguel Angel Davila, managing partner of Liv Capital and Founder of Cinemex, one of the largest and most successful entertainment companies in Mexico, who has over 24 years of professional experience and is recognized as one of Mexico’s most successful entrepreneurs; Carlos Muñoz, chief officer of Grupo 4S, an consulting company specializing in innovative real estate development projects; and Miguel Baigts, CEO of Consulting Media Mexico, a leading global speaker and an expert on social networks.
