February Crown Princess Cruise sure to display the best new talent

Cruise liners are a hot bed for talented performers. Luxury cruise liners work tirelessly to provide some of the most talented artists to complement their cruise experiences from incredible magicians, comedians, singer songwriters and multi-talented performers.

With over 1000 artists performing on Princess Cruises every year, there is an extreme wealth of talent that needs to be recognised. With April’s first ever Entertainer of the Year cruise showcasing some of the most gifted cruise performers, attendees were treated to five days of non-stop entertainment, from awe inspiring illusionist David Cats, comedy styling’s of Steve Morris and Carlos Oscar and musical performances from Beatle Maniacs and Burt Stratton.

A whole new cruise experience
Next year’s event is set to be an even bigger affair due to the success of the Entertainer of the Year Cruise. The yearly event will run between February the 9th and 16th on a Valentine’s cruise that sails the West Caribbean.
This cruise experience is similar to the likes of reality programs such as X Factor and America’s Got Talent, where the audience cast their votes for their favourite performers. It’s a great opportunity for fans to see the best talent that Princess Cruises have to offer in one place. What makes the cruise so special is that there are also many chances to interact with these artists, making it a must-visit event for loyal fans.
Next year’s finalist will be picked by the entertainment team and be announced on Princess Cruises social networking sites where users will be able to view videos of their performances before the big event. After the week-long set of performances, the winner will be announced and awarded with a $5,000 cash prize.

Evolution of cruise entertainment
Entertainment on cruise ships has come a long way since the original cruise liners trawled the oceans. Dining each night used to considered an ‘entertainment event’ in itself, where everyone would dress in tuxedos, every night, followed by ballroom dancing or quartet music.
Today, with so many different kinds of entertainment events on cruise liners, cruise companies compete and advertise on these grounds alone. The shows that will be performed on Princess Cruises are designed specifically to go beyond a traditional cruise show, in that passengers will be able to vote for their favourite performer, and perhaps even meet them. They are becoming so popular that they are sometimes the main reason some fans buy cruise tickets at all. Indeed, there doesn’t seem to be a better way to see your favourite artist perform!
