Choosing Caravan Holidays in Cornwall

Choosing Caravan Holidays in Cornwall

Cornwall really is the jewel in England’s crown when it comes to all types of family holidays, but especially when it comes to caravan holidays .  There is something really traditional about caravan breaks in Cornwall because it allows us adults to recapture part of our youth and enjoy the simple pleasures in life and yet gives the kids a great holiday too.  There is a downside though;   Cornwall holidays are now so popular, especially with the surfing set, that it can be difficult to choose the right caravan holiday i.e. a caravan site that is great for the kids!

Obviously any internet search will reveal a whole multitude of caravan parks and caravan breaks, but it is different when you are looking for a family holiday; you don’t want to end up in the middle of some trendy surfers caravan site, instead you want somewhere that will simply be great for the children and really lively for the kids during the day; but nice and quiet at night.  It is also really important for me to get a caravan park where there is something that the kids can do if it rains.  Ok, we hope that isn’t going to happen, but if it does, I don’t want the holiday ruined by the kids being bored beyond belief.

So after a little flicking about on the internet, I was overjoyed to find www.haven.com, where I could easily find really suitable family holidays , without having to worry that we were going to be kept up all night young groups singing songs by the camp fire all night.  The website has plenty of information about Perran Sands and Riviere Sands, two fantastic family holiday parks. You can see all the facilities that they have to offer not just the kids, but for adults as well.  After all, we are paying for the holiday so we need a little fun too.

From a Mum’s point of view, it was great to be able to get a star classification for the sites, since I don’t like anything less than 4* when it comes to accommodation. I also liked the way that all the facilities were laid out, so that you can just tick everything off on your checklist.  This was really useful since I hate spending ages looking to see what is on offer and what is nearby, but everything is there, including nearby attractions, so you can just plan lots of different things before you even book.

The great thing about caravan holidays especially in Cornwall is that you can simply relax or do some sightseeing as well. If you want to be more adventurous you can visit places such as St Ives or the Eden Project, but you can also just sit back and enjoy the English seaside with an ice cream in your hand.
