A host of top executives from around the globe have gathered at the world-famous Casa De Campo resort in the Dominican Republic for the Leading Hotels of the World annual Sales, Market and Distribution Conference.

Claudio Silvestri, president Premier Resorts, the management company behind Casa De Campo, welcomed guests, alongside Leading Hotels of the World chief executive Ted Teng.

The event presented an opportunity for those involved to expand their knowledge on the latest sales and marketing strategies, as well as offering a little spare time to enjoy everything the magnificent 7,000 acre resort has to offer.

On the agenda were seminars covering everything from ‘The Business of Luxury: The Latest Insights into Customer Purchase Behaviour’, to ‘Search, Content, and Devices: The Three Pillars of the Online Travel Research and Booking Experience’.

Teng explained: “Each of our member hotels are as individual and distinctive as the guests they host and offer very special experiences, this year and into 2013, we will focus more and more on highlighting the singular unique qualities of each of our member hotels – like those found here at Casa de Campo.”

After hours, attendees will enjoy Casa de Campo’s exquisite dining options at the Marina Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón, as well as at Minitas Beach where an evening ‘White Party’ was hosted at the Beach Club by Le Cirque.

On Friday evening, the visitors of the Leading Hotels of the World were given the opportunity to mingle with Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and guests at a polo match between “Casa de Campo” and the “Leading Hotels of the World”, which was be accompanied by a cocktail at the Casa de Campo polo fields.

To celebrate the successful ending of the conference on Saturday evening guests were be whisked to the enchanting Altos de Chavón artist’s village, where they enjoyed a spectacular sunset dinner in the Plaza Chavón followed by an extra special performance of Kandela! in the Altos de Chavón amphitheatre.

“As one of the newer members of The Leading Hotels of the World we are honoured to have been chosen as the site for very important conference and hope everyone enjoys Casa de Campo and the warm Dominican hospitality,” added Silvestri.

Casa de Campo, which has been a member of the Leading Hotels of the World since November 2012, is considered the World’s Leading Golf Resort by the World Travel Awards.
