Addressing a conference at Indaba earlier today Monhla Hlahla, CEO of the Airports Company, assured South Africans every cent of investment in infrastructure ahead of the 2010 World Cup would equip the economy to grow into the future. South Africa Tourism has this morning launched the new Inanda Trail at the annual Indaba travel trade show in Durban. The location is perhaps best known as the home of Mahatma Gandhi during the early 20th century, as well as being the birthplace of ANC founder John Dube.

A football themed Indaba travel show has begun in Durban, as South Africa prepares to bring the FIFA World Cup to Africa for the first time. The event was opened by president Jacob Zuma, with upward of 12,000 visitors now expected over the next four days.

Indaba 2010 kicks of over the weekend, with over 2,000 exhibitors expected in Durban for the event. Considered the primary trade event in Africa, Indaba is set to attract over 10,000 delegates during its four day run, with host Durban missing no opportunities when its comes to promoting its offering.
