The ASEAN Tourism Research Association Conference (ATRAC) 2018 reflects the Thai’s government emphasis on awareness of ASEAN as a community of opportunity and people-centeredness for a better livelihood under the mechanism of sustainable development. The connection of all aspects aim to create the economic and social opportunities for locals. That would lead to the reduction of development gap between all ASEAN member countries. Furthermore, the opportunities given to border regions are the consequences of connectivity and the development of cross-border tourism integration.
