easyJet has today announced the launch of a new online foreign exchange service, offering travellers a wide range of foreign currencies and next-day home delivery.

First Rate Exchange Services (First Rate) has been appointed as the service provider for easyJet’s travel money service. The company has developed a fully-integrated online foreign exchange ordering and delivery service which allows easyJet customers to choose from over 70 currencies, notes and travellers cheques, as well as receiving currency advice and a secure online payment service.

First Rate’s solution, called Travel Money Online, will also allow easyJet’s customers to select their required delivery date, with orders received before 3.00 p.m. delivered the next business day to any addresses across the UK.

Bill McKimm, easyJet’s Head of Ancillary Revenue, said: “As well as offering great value flights to over 383 destinations we want travellers to have easy access to the widest range of 0% commission currencies at the same time as booking their flights online.”

David Thomas, First Rate’s Business Development Director added: “Savvy travellers are now using the internet to seek out the most convenient and best value deals. Offering an online foreign exchange service not only enhances customer service, but also provides an additional revenue stream too.”
