Luxury hotel group, Beachcomber Hotels, has announced the appointment of Chris Gilbert as Director UK & Ireland. Based at the Beachcomber Hotels’ London office, Chris will spearhead the sales and marketing activities for the group following the retirement of Lindsay Walker.
He moves from One & Only Resorts where he was Executive Director Sales, UK & Ireland. From 1999 to 2006, he was Regional Manager UK & Ireland for Air Mauritius gaining extensive knowledge of Mauritius where Beachcomber currently own and operate eight luxury resorts and hotels, in addition to the private island resort of Sainte Anne in the Seychelles.
Beachcomber is expanding its portfolio and two new projects have been announced; a second hotel in the Seychelles on the island of Praslin and Beachcomber’s first development outside the Indian Ocean, Royal Palm Hotel Golf & Spa in Marrakech.
Beachcomber Hotels is a leading hotel group in Mauritius and has maintained its position at the forefront of the island’s hospitality industry since 1952 when Beachcomber opened the first hotel on the island.
