MSC Cruises has appointed a new Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, Giulio Libutti, effective from 1 July.
Italian national Mr Libutti has taken over the role from Claudia Baino, who held the position for two years, during which time she further developed the MSC Cruises UK sales office and its approach to the market.
Prior to joining MSC Cruises, his most recent post was a director of Italian airline Airone, based in Rome, working on a proposed merger with Alitalia. Mr Libutti has also worked in the US, Argentina, Japan, Spain, Peru, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. He is experienced in managing and developing sales forces in 30 countries and was responsible for the implementation of the Alitalia and KLM merger process in Latin America.
As Managing Director of MSC Cruises UK and Ireland, Mr Libutti will be responsible for further increasing sales and brand awareness.
